3 Weight Loss Principles


As humans, we often fixate on "the easy way out". Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts available to those seeking weight loss. Having said that, the process can be made easier by following 3 core weight loss principles.


 

Principle one


A calorie deficit. Now we don't expect you to count every calorie you consume. You can, however, be mindful of portion sizes when eating without summoning all the brain power vested in you. This alone will yield a result.


If you’re overweight and struggling to lose weight, you’re most likely consuming an excess amount of calories. Remember, unhealthy snacks and processed foods carry high-calorie values.


Healthy meals

Principle two


Establish a regular exercise routine. That could be in the form of:


  • weight training

  • pilates

  • yoga

  • swimming

  • walking

  • running

  • etc.


Make it enjoyable, sticking to a dull routine can get difficult. Walking is an easier form of exercise that yields great benefits. Something as simple and easy as that may be the missing ingredient in your recipe for success.

Principle three


You may have guessed this one, consistency. A few good workouts probably won't grant you your dream bod, but a few months of good workouts might.


Design your life in a way that allows you to include regular exercise whilst slowly integrating healthier food options into your diet and sticking to whole foods whenever possible.


 

Once you have grasped these 3 weight loss principles you're well on your way to achieving your fat loss goal. Lastly, allow time to play in your favor and be patient.
